Winter Shield 9 : 23rd Febuary 4pm-8pm : Harbour Walls
The ninth leg of Ramsey Angling Clubs winter shield was held in almost perfect conditions, five of the eleven anglers headed to the beach which proved to be a good move with Coalies being caught from the start, Andrew Dugdale who fished from the car park caught consistently throughout to do enough for the win, Mark Quirk had a good start at the Slip but the fish dried up in the middle of the match, despite this Mark came in second. George Dugdale also at the car park came in third with a bag of coalies and a nice 2lb 1oz Flounder taking one of the pools.
On the pier it was all very tight with Kevin Quinn, John Senogles, Paul Graham and Ian Ashcroft all within 100points of each other it was the latter who finally came out on top of the pier anglers, coming in fourth overall, and got the bonus of picking up the second pool with a Dogfish of 1lb 5oz.
The mystery pairs pool went to Andrew Dugdale and John Green.
